Pissouri sits roughly halfway between Limassol and Paphos, and it has an advantage neither of them can match: at about 35 kilometres from the port it has the shortest road leg of any established British village in Cyprus.
The settlement is really two places. Pissouri village sits up on the hill around the old square, and Pissouri Bay lies below it on the coast, with a steep road connecting the two. Which of the two you are moving to changes the job.
The British community here is long established and year round rather than seasonal. The Akrotiri peninsula and Episkopi lie right east, which brings a steady flow of service families and people who stayed on after a posting.

The village, mostly. The road down to the bay is steep and winding, and deliveries there are usually transferred to a smaller vehicle at the top. The newer developments around the village have driveways and turning space.
