Paralimni became the administrative centre of the Famagusta district after 1974, when Famagusta town itself ended up on the other side of the line. It now anchors the eastern resort strip, and it has the longest road leg of any delivery in the Republic.
Protaras, Pernera, Kapparis and Fig Tree Bay sit on the coast below the town, with Ayia Napa round to the south west. Inland are Dherynia, Sotira, Liopetri, Frenaros, Avgorou and Vrysoulles, which are working villages rather than resorts and where a lot of the permanent population actually lives.
Goods clear at Limassol and travel roughly 100 kilometres east, past Dhekelia, to reach Paralimni. That is the longest inland leg of the five main destinations and the one most often left out of a port to door quote.
A higher share of property here is second homes than anywhere else on the island, which makes the customs position worth getting right before anything ships. Relief that applies to a main home does not apply to a holiday one.
Cyprus customs allows used personal property in free of duty and VAT on a genuine residence transfer. The declaration is form Aπ. 2, filed at any customs station with the supporting paperwork behind it.

Outside July and August if you can. The coast road between Ayia Napa, Protaras and Paralimni is heavily congested through the peak season and crews lose hours to it. A late September date costs the same and runs more smoothly.
Usually not. Transfer of residence relief applies when Cyprus becomes your main home. Furnishing a second or holiday home is a different case and duty and VAT may be payable, so say which it is before the goods are declared.
Some do, especially during the season, with limits on vehicle access or delivery hours. Check with the management company before the container is booked rather than after it has sailed.

No. Famagusta city sits north of the line and is a different move with different routing and separate customs. The Famagusta free areas around Paralimni are in the Republic and ship through Limassol as normal.
